When Sheila tired of lecturing in Biological Sciences and despaired at the prospect of her much loved discipline becoming a branch of mathematics she looked for a career change that would use her people skills and add a commercial edge. She founded Consult with Nigel Murray in 1989 and to quote her - "it has been absolutely brilliant". She continues to work alongside her colleagues operationally and her extensive network in HR recruitment and loves what she does

You'd think that after witnessing the birth of the recruitment market place and establishing Consult along with Sheila, Nigel might be a bit bored with it by now. Well, not a bit of it. His long term view of the development of the HR Recruitment marketplace gives him an enviable knowledge base to draw on when working with his clients. The journey isn't over yet and he's looking forward to what comes next.

Michelle joined Sheila and Nigel shortly after the business was formed and has a long and outstanding track record of assignment delivery. Renowned for her passion and drive, she stops at nothing to gain the very best talent for her clients. As a client or a candidate be prepared to have your thinking challenged to attract, secure or be the very best talent in the marketplace.

Wendy joined Consult in 2007, bringing the invaluable experience and insights of having worked in senior HR roles to HR Director level, across a variety of sectors, including retail and distribution. An FCIPD qualified HR professional, Wendy now leads the Consult team in the North to deliver outstanding operational and strategic hires and is well known for her large network of clients and candidates. She has also personally delivered on a range of UK and International appointment to £180K levels and regularly astounds her colleagues with her pace and energy.

Bill lives and breathes Interim. It's a different but growing market within the HR marketplace and Bill stays close to his network (or "golden circle" as he prefers to call it). This is the secret of his success, knowing where to find the right candidate at short notice for his clients. He doesn't just deliver but stays close to the candidate and client throughout the assignment to ensure that things run smoothly.

Paul is a true recruitment professional having previously been a Director at global recruitment provider. His highly consultative, from the ground up, approach enables him to deliver a tailored service that meets the needs of his clients and candidates.

Sue knows all about transformational change management in challenging environments having overseen major re-organisations for Barclays in the Northwest. But her move into recruitment ten years ago gave her the true buzz of career fulfilment, and she hasn't looked back.

Her foundation for success is personal service, long term relationships and having fun on the journey. Sue is part of our team in the North.

Michelle has a strong academic background, including a post graduate degree in HR Management, an early career as an HR Generalist within a bluechip organisation and over ten years experience in HR recruitment.

Her reputation for delivery and success is based on an in-depth understanding of her subject matter, strong consultancy skills and an ability to develop long-standing relationships.

Alan has spent the majority of his career in software services in senior management positions. His duties at Consult are wide and varied and include responsibility for IT and Finance.

Alan is also a partner in Aegis Executive Resourcing, Consult's sister company specialising in non-HR recruitment.

Nikki was born in Alresford and went on to study Business Management at Alton College.

She started her career at a local firm of solicitors in the Conveyancing Department before being promoted to Legal Secretary to one of the Partners.

She left work after ten years to have her son, Peter. Nikki returned to work in 1996 for another firm of solicitors as PA to one of the Senior Partners.

Nikki joined Consult in December 2006 and is now PA supporting Sheila Griffiths, Bill Dudman and Michelle Turner.

Felicity trained as a Personal Assistant in the 1980's and pursued her A level studies as a mature student. She has worked in various administrative roles within the public sector including education, the Environment Agency and the NHS where she worked within the cancer care and research administration specialisms and latterly the private sector as a legal secretary.

Felicity joined Consult in July 2008 and supports Nigel Murray, Michelle Lawton and Paul Tanton.

Katie graduated in 2006 with a BA in Business Studies and Marketing. She spent time with Johnson & Johnson and General Electric in marketing support roles before joining Consult in the Manchester office. Katie provides support to Wendy Doherty, Sue Thackrah and Julie Hulme. She is also training as a Junior Consultant.
