Considering moving at a senior level is a daunting prospect. You need someone who you can trust to be discrete; who knows the market (the faces and culture behind the brands); who's experienced and confident enough to give you constructive feedback about your strengths and gaps; who gives you clear guidance (in your best interests) on the type of roles and organisations you should and shouldn't consider; who operates with integrity; who does the right thing by you and the employing organisation by not making placements for the sake of a fee; who stays in touch and takes the time to get to know you personally. On top of all that you need someone who's able to cover a lot of ground because senior HR roles are, be default, spread across a lot of organisations. For me this is why Consult were absolutely outstanding! When I worked with Consult on my recent move into an HR Director role I didn't feel like I was dealing with just 'someone' or even an organisation. Having read the candidate brief, I am impressed with the scope of the role and the challenge it presents (and also the comprehensive brief!). However, I was also extremely impressed by your interview technique today, to the extent that it was the most holistic and thorough process I have ever undertaken, and I agree wholeheartedly with your approach.
