Our client is a growing entrepreneurial business in a rapidly evolving sector. The organisation has some 3,000 employees across a number of key divisions, this figure is likely to grow both organically and through acquisition in the next few years. This role will report to the Group HR Director and be the Senior HR Business to a key multi sited business unit that encompasses operations in a number of countries in Europe and beyond and a number of UK operations.

HR has become increasingly influential over the last 2 years within the business and they are now at the stage of embedding frameworks and driving agendas such as great place to work, employee engagement and management capability.

Candidates will most likely have had experience within an operationally focused business potentially having experienced growth and an increasing sophistication of HR agenda. Broad HR generalist and business partner experience ideally accompanied with a degree and CIPD qualification or equivalent and the ability to demonstrate a capacity to blend the strategic with operational and be commercial and pragmatic in their approach to delivering business aligned HR solutions.

The incumbent will need to be willing to travel both internationally and within the UK and hence there is some flex to the base of the role, although the northern half of the UK may have some logic in relation to the key stakeholder to whom the incumbent will be Business Partner. Language skills (ideally French and German would be a significant advantage) as would previous exposure providing HR/Business Partner support to the internationally based operations of a UK owned business. Whilst there will be local HR support to handle operational HR issues, this role will seek to strategically identify the opportunities to embed and align UK frameworks into international operations and will work closely and need to influence country managers/leaders.
