When Sheila tired of lecturing in Biological Sciences and despaired at the prospect of her much loved discipline becoming a branch of mathematics she looked for a career change that would use her people skills and add a commercial edge. She founded Consult with Nigel Murray in 1989 and to quote her - "it has been absolutely brilliant". She continues to work alongside her colleagues operationally and her extensive network in HR recruitment and loves what she does.
You'd think that after witnessing the birth of the recruitment market place and establishing Consult along with Sheila, Nigel might be a bit bored with it by now. Well, not a bit of it. His long term view of the development of the HR Recruitment marketplace gives him an enviable knowledge base to draw on when working with his clients. The journey isn't over yet and he's looking forward to what comes next.
Michelle joined Sheila and Nigel shortly after the business was formed and has a long and outstanding track record of assignment delivery. Renowned for her passion and drive, she stops at nothing to gain the very best talent for her clients. As a client or a candidate be prepared to have your thinking challenged to attract, secure or be the very best talent in the marketplace.
Paul is a true recruitment professional having previously been a Director within a global recruitment provider. His highly consultative, from the ground up, approach enables him to deliver a tailored service that meets the needs of his clients and candidates.
Michelle has a strong academic background, including a post graduate degree in HR Management, an early career as an HR Generalist within a bluechip organisation and over ten years experience in HR recruitment. Her reputation for delivery and success is based on an in-depth understanding of her subject matter, strong consultancy skills and an ability to develop long-standing relationships. Michelle is currently on maternity leave.
Bill lives and breathes Interim. It's a different but growing market within the HR marketplace and Bill stays close to his network (or "golden circle" as he prefers to call it). This is the secret of his success, knowing where to find the right candidate at short notice for his clients. He doesn't just deliver but stays close to the candidate and client throughout the assignment to ensure that things run smoothly.
Emma started her recruitment life in 1999 with Hays, working within their Finance & Procurement divisions delivering to commercial businesses and then a move to Capita gained her extensive public sector exposure. At Consult-HR she manages all levels of HR recruitment and with her 13 years of diverse experience from interim to executive, blue-chip to government departments, there is not an industry that she hasn't worked with to seek the best talent. When not recruiting, Emma is the proud mum of a toddler who is far more demanding than any client she has ever worked for!
Gwen has worked in recruitment for nearly 20 years where she has built up a solid and diverse bank of experience. Her background includes financial recruitment with Hays and Robert Half International, Resourcing Manager with a leading Supply Chain company and recently 8 years with Capita Resourcing. She has worked across both the private and public sectors, developing a strong network and diverse market knowledge representing candidates from a variety of job functional areas but with a strong leaning towards HR. She prides herself on providing considered solutions and building long term professional relationships.
Alan’s background is diverse and varied. Having started work in the car industry, he did a short spell in Oil & Gas and then a long spell in IT/software. He’s been a research engineer, a marketing manager a salesman/manager and MD of a Software company serving the pharmaceutical industry across Europe. He now looks after the financial and IT side of Consult.
Nikki studied Business Management at Alton College, Hampshire in 1986. She started her career as Conveyancing Secretary for a local firm of solicitors, a post she held for 9 years. She then moved on to another firm where she was Personal Assistant to the Senior Conveyancing Partner. Nikki managed all aspects of conveyancing throughout the department with a high level of responsibility. In 2006 she was approached by Consult-HR to join their team as a PA and is now supporting Michelle Turner, Bill Dudman and Emma Crichton.
Megan joined Consult HR as a PA in 2011 after moving to the UK from Sydney, Australia where she spent the last nine years managing and supporting a leading Orthopaedic Spinal Surgical Practice. Prior to that Megan had a diverse career including Executive Assistant support at Board level for a surgical device R&D company, HR specialist within the Attorney General's Department and IR advisor to Banking and Finance employees. Megan supports Nigel Murray, Sheila Griffiths, Michelle Lawton & Paul Tanton.
Vicki trained initially as a secretary at Deloitte Touche, progressing as a Legal Secretary at Howes Percival Law Group, working personal injury, intellectual property and litigation. She further progressed to Senior Secretary and PA positions at CEO/Board level within several Corporations before running the Finance and Administration of an IT Consultancy which she now combines with her work as an Adminstrator at Consult.
Debbie has a proven track record of successfully working with business to achieve their recruitment objectives. Her calm, measured and independent stance allows her to focus objectively on the Job in hand. Debbie has a natural ability to engage with people at all levels to motivate and encourage them to achieve their full potential. Having worked in recruitment for over 12 years now her values are as strong today as they were all those years ago. Providing added value to both clients and candidates alike. She does this by scoping out their HR requirements and finding the best and most appropriate recruitment solution.
With over 15 years Recruitment experience her background spans permanent and contract recruitment at Robert Walters and Morgan McKinley, In-House RPO at Capital Consulting - where she led all Talent Acquisition for Britvic PLC - and Executive Search at Leathwaite International and EM Group. Rosie has a strong consultative approach and a wealth of experience in a number of sectors. At Consult-HR she manages all levels of HR Recruitment and prides herself in building long term relationships with her candidates and clients alike.
